Grand Finale of She Can With ICT Project

On 24th June, the 6-month ICT & Entrepreneurship programme – SHE CAN WITH ICT, an Intel SHE WILL CONNECT initiative, in partnership with Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre, W.TEC, Project ASHA, World Pulse, Slingshot and other organizations, came to an end,

The graduation ceremony, showcased and celebrated the project proposals of young women leveraging technology towards advancing their enterprises.

The first prize came with a cash prize of one hundred and fifty thousand naira (about four hundred US Dollars) towards developing an App that would allow people from anywhere in the world create their own Adire designs,and order them.

The second prize came with a cash prize of one hundred thousand naira (about three hundred US Dollars) and went to ASHA's Pascaline Opeodu.

The third prize winner walked away with fifty thousand naira.

Fine graduates from the programmes who also pitched their project ideas all left with consolation prizes of thirty thousand naira only.

All winners will continue receiving support towards setting up their enterprises.

Finalists were chosen based on their ability to leverage information garnered from practical and theory sessions, their project proposals also demonstrated innovation with a knowledge of prevailing market forces.
